I am 22 years old and from Copenhagen, which has been my hometown since I was born. I study Multimedia Design at KEA in Copenhagen. Since an early age I have used a lot of my spare time to express myself visually, and I already started using Adobe Photoshop in my early teenage-days. By that, I started to grow a huge interest and understanding for visual design and the structures of it.
My favourite area of multimediadesign has to be graphic design and visualization. That was where it all started for me, with many hours in Photoshop as a young teen, and that is still what I find the most fun. When I discovered the power of vector graphics, it opened a whole new world to me. Communication, audience analyzing and branding are also areas I find really interesting, and I have had quite a few school projects with that as a subject. I have a love-hate relationship with coding, because I am still a beginner, but I like doing it, even if it frustrates me some of the time. When I see my ideas come to life through the code, that is a great feeling.
As I said I have worked with Photoshop for over 10 years. All the other Adobe programs are a little more new to me, except for Audition which I have used to edit sound for a couple of years. My many years with Photoshop made it easy for me to get an understanding of the other Adobe programs, because of the similar interfaces, and now I am very comfortable in all of the programs in my suitcase. Brackets and FileZilla are also relatively new to me, but I am now very comfortable using the programs. As I said before, I am new in the world of coding, so I still have a lot to learn, but then again, I guess you never stop learning new things regarding coding.
HTX Sukkertoppen is where I went to High School. I started in 2010 and graduated in 2013. My main subjects were English A, IT/Communication A, Media Studies C and Social Studies B. Through those 3 years I found out that I wanted to have an education within graphics and communication.
This was my first ever job, in a big grocery store in my homewtown. It was a fairly standard part-time teenage job, but it gave me experience within the labor market, and I learned to take responsibility.
After graduating I needed a gap year and a break from school, so I got a job in telemarketing doing IT-support. I quickly learned the dynamics of how to treat a customer and give them the best possible service. The company had a rough time at that period with loads of calls, but I made it through that, and it made me better, which I think shows my loyalty and dedication. In october 2014 I was offered a promotion to be SuperUser, which I took. This made me responsible for helping my colleagues and communicating with the Network Operation Center.
After working for one and a half year, I started at KEA, and quitted my job to focus on my new education. My aim with the multimedia design education was to be more versatile, and be better at the things I was already good at.
This is my current job, also in telemarketing, where I handle credit cards and petrol cards for Swedish customers. After quitting my old job, I was on the lookout for something with different work hours, as to what LN Eurocom could offer me on part time.
